NISA Takes On Sakura Wars

Of interest to many, I’m sure, N-1’s press event has announced the localization of Sakura Wars for the PS2 and Wii this fall. I’m actually somewhat more annoyed that Khemia 2 was pushed back to fall. I never really got into the whole Sakura Wars franchise, but it pretty much is the progenitor to Galaxy Angel, which I’m… uh… heavily invested in at the moment, so more power to ’em. It’s definitely one of the more generative Japanese franchises that’s never seen the light of day in the US, so I’m glad that at least the western audience is getting a taste.

Knew about this already, but I didn’t know it was being done by NIS America. (sigh) I just pray that the localization goes well this time. Sucks that Mana Khemia 2 is being pushed back till fall. I’m looking forward to that game and I’m tired of waiting. Well then they should have no excuse when it comes to the translation.

Mixed feelings. I love Sakura Taisen, but I despise NISA. Seeing as how V basically fills up the dual-layer DVD, expect one or the other voice tracks. Or, if NISA goes with its standard, both voice tracks, but heavily butchered. I’m not really expecting much from them, those damn money-hungry mongrels.

Oh, and with this Sakura Taisen V is now the first in the series, since they removed the roman numeral! Yay! Oh, and the video’s for the prequel, not the main game. :|

It may seem like I’m trolling, but I’m really not. I’m just kind of angry, sort of.
