A Certain Magical In%&@#PAGE FAULT MISAMISAMISAMISAMISA…

Please reboot loli and contact system administrator.

Impressions:

Last Order going hayware and crazily ranting in the background was easily the highlight of a rather dull episode. About 9 of the first 10 minutes were spent on the phone. I actually cheered a little bit when Accelerator said "screw it" and threw the damn thing away. Then things got amusing for all the wrong reasons for a little bit. Here is Accelerator, in a dark alley, pinning down a struggling naked little girl in a car with his normal psychopathic grin plastered all over his face. It barely looks like he’s hacking her brain to begin with. If they had shown it from any other angle, then he’d be in the FBI party van and on his way to sexual predator court.

Sadly, from then on out, the rest of the episode was about two characters whose names I can’t remember, one of which died (and was a terrible antagonist anyway) and I highly doubt we’ll ever see the other again. I did find it a bit amusing that she somehow managed… in a deserted alley in the middle of the night… to drive up to them with her lights off, put the car in park, get out of the car, close the door, and shoot him without anybody noticing anything. Apparently they have stealth cars in the future. That come equipped with night vision.

And despite the arc not even containing Touma, we somehow ended up in the hospital anyway.

9 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

Accelerator taking a heroic role was a surprise.

  • Nanaya says:

^ Yeah, I was kind of surprised.

It seems out of character for him, but at the same time I keep getting the impression that he went screwy after a few dozen Misakas. I really don’t know, but it seems kind of like he’s reverting back to his previous self – kicking and screaming all the way.

Also, it seems to be a legally enforced law in Japan for an anti-hero to have a small cute morality pet.

  • Yue says:

I agree with the two above. How come the bullet hit? Did he forgot to set his forcefield? ^_^

  • Rawr says:

He had his hands full with hacking the loli’s brain. On another note… how the hell did the doctor fail to just kill the fucker? Was there any need to get point blank to kill him? I mean, she shot him once in the back from a distance perfectly fine for god sakes, and yet she still found it necessary to go up to him, talk a while, and allow him to point his gun at her? She couldn’t have just shot him while he was still floored with his head turned the other way? For fuck’s sake, stupidity should have its limits…

Oh, and regarding Accelerator’s hacking attempt, I totally didn’t see it the way you did, but watching it again, he you’re right. He had a “U GOING TO GET LOVED TENDERLY FACE” on. After that initial evil smirk, he had the “O FUCK! ITS THE COPS!” face. Also, Last order flailing about while he had his hands on her head didn’t make him look like he was trying to save her, either. Still, you can’t judge people by the way they look, I guess. I mean, even though Accelerator looked like an insane lolicon, he was actually trying to save her.

I would have easily cured the loli… with my MEAT INJECTION.

  • shuffleair says:

Yes, nowadays everyone has to have stealth cars with night vision. If you don’t have one then you’re outdated.

Do I see Accelerator as a little boy in the screen shots? Oh, and his new shirt in the ED song looks ugly.

  • Kikaifan says:

Anime characters generally aren’t known for their fashion sense. The lucky ones end up in suits or traditional clothing. The rest…

  • TJ says:

Wasn’t expecting much from this episode, and the episode didn’t give much back.

Accelerator is turning into Touma lol to the point that he now makes heroic speeches that make no sense.
