Strangely fitting.

Impressions:

Hilarious episode. Half of it was centered around Hosaka… how could it not be? It was a bit surreal for a long while, with angel Chiaki and devil Chiaki causing Chiaki’s brain to sort of glitch out… and Fujioka staring a little too closely at Touma and Chiaki tickle-fighting. Let’s not forget that he still thinks that Touma’s a guy… so… there’s all kinds of disturbing things that could be going on in his brain. Devil Fujioka is also something of a sight to behold. Just thinking about Chiaki snuggling onto that lap sends my mind recoiling into places beyond the ken of humans. The second part was more of the angel/devil stuff centered around the theft of cream puffs. The third segment was Hayami stirring Hosaka’s pot (ew) by sending him to try to win over Haruka’s friends with the expect glorious Hosaka results. The final segment was Chiaki getting sent off to the store and having no clue what she’s doing, but Hosaka the curry fairy is there to fabulously play air piano and sing a song inspiring her to buy curry ingredients, which was the goal all along.

It’s looking like they’re going to be splitting the story up into four parts for the rest of the run if these two episodes are any indication. Once again, we got one little story, then the OP, then another one that really wasn’t connected, then the mid-episode CM break, then a third, then the ED, and then the final one. There’s certainly nothing wrong with that, it’s just notable. Hosaka was really what made this episode. Gawk all you want over "Chiaki with breasts," but I’m here for the guy singing operettas and playing air piano in the middle of the produce section.
