Impressions:

A very enjoyable episode, if a bit predictible. The whole breast thing was pretty much exactly as you’d expect, and the whole "feisty girl can’t swim" thing has been done to death since Ranma 1/2, if not earlier. Regardless, lots of humor this episode and a surprising amount of violence, groping, and ball fondling, though none of it in any way sexual. Taiga groped Ryuuji’s mom, Ryuuji beaned Taiga, Kitamura and gang boss Minori tossed Ryuuji around, Ami tossed Taiga around, and then Taiga couldn’t stop touching her hairballs. I supposed that Ryuuji also technically groped Taiga, but when he’s already sewing fake breasts for her, I don’t think that even qualifies. How the blazes does Ryuuji even know anything about sewing women’s cups in the first place?

I did think that after the cliffhanger last week, the start was a little abruptly dropped and/or ignored after Taiga basically just glared at them then wandered away. Ami was also a bit more managable this week since she seems to be collapsing a little bit into the center of her two personalities, at least around the main cast. It’s much more tolerable than dealing with her speaking in the third person and calling herself cute all the time. I particularly enjoyed her picking out a little kid’s swimsuit for Taiga, as well as bodily throwing her around. Nice to see that she just needs a flimsy excuse to turn her brute strength on her abuser.
