ToraDora! #04 — Taiga the Hutt
October 22nd, 2008
O~ha~, Jedi.
First, sorry I’m a bit slow today. You know how it is… Bring the car in for routine maintanence, leave with new brake pads and calipers. *sigh*
Second, does the second song on the Vanilla Salt single (I My Me) released a couple days ago remind anybody else of Baby Love Child, made infamous as one of the insert songs in Futurama? The similarity is… unnerving.
Impressions:
Yeah yeah, slow today… not going to waste my time summarizing. Totali’s already done that anyway.
Kitamura and Minori actually endeared themselves more to me in this episode than anywhere previously. Minorin’s bucket o’ pudding was just downright strange enough to be cute, and as a pudding afficionado myself, I know the joys of a bucket of pudding. Alright… it was just a giant can of tapioca, but it was still two weeks of pudding heaven. Kitamura was also actually given a decent reason to be somewhat oblivious to Taiga’s advances as well, so he’s forgiven at least a little bit. He confessed to her before and she shot him down, so it’s hard to fault the guy for moving on and assuming that she’s not interested in him. Collecting pictures of her is quite a bit creepier than her collecting pictures of him though. I’m pretty sure that qualifies one or both of them as a stalker.
Taiga was also absolutely adorable through the entire episode, though she did seem to be spazzing out a little more than usual. She looks like she wants Ryuuji to pick her up and carry her on his shoulders like a three year old. I assume that was to set up the whole blurry camera deal, but it was still up a notch or two from the last three weeks. She certainly makes a better blob than a tiger. Ryuuji’s mother was also doing a pretty good blob impression for that matter. We didn’t really see enough… or much at all… of the school council president who drives Taiga somewhat crazy, but I assume there’ll be a good deal more of her in the future given her closeness to Kitamura.
Hmmm…. what else to say… Inko was probably the least creepy he’s been all season?
Preview:
Taiga’s archnemesis appears.

Taiga makes me want to wipe the drool off her mouth. Mmm.
