Ho~ni… ho~ni… ho~ni…

Well, everything that’s going to air has aired except for Nodame, Chaos;Head, and Tytania (all Thursday), Junjou RoMANtica 2 (Saturday) and Michiko & Hatchin (a week from today). Of those, while I’m interested in Nodame and Chaos;Head, I’m pretty sure they’ll be picked up by Omni and/or Totali (well, Nodame at least) so I’ll probably be content to stick with… well… Thursdays are a full day, so god only knows what I’ll cover.

There’s a limited amount of time in the day, and since I’m one of the few, the proud, the semi-competent with Japanese, my schedule for watching stuff syncs up more or less with the actual broadcast schedule. Therefore, there’s only so much that I can deal with in a day, so here’s the quick list of all the shows over the past week (plus the ongoing ones I’m already following) along with a short blurb designed to reduce a 20 minute experience to a half second bullet point. Comprehensive it is not, but if you want more information, each one is linked to either my post on it, or Totali/Omni’s for the stuff I didn’t actually pay attention to since I didn’t finish the previous season of that show. I recommend Totali, Omni, or Hinano to fill in most of the rest of what I don’t hit up.

Anything that I am 100% certain I’m going to cover gets a little crown, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stick with it past the next episode or two. Likewise, just because I’m not psyched about something doesn’t mean that I won’t pick it up. If you’ve got any input, flames, or desperate begging, go wild.

 As long as they stop trying to draw children, this could be pretty good, but not really my favorite genre of show.

 Yawn. Still not seeing the appeal here. Maybe I just don’t smoke enough pot.

 Not as much a fan as others seem to be, but it was still a fun little episode. Everybody and their cat looks like they’ll be writing about this though… not that that’s stopped me in the past. *shrug*

Great first episode. More violence is never a bad thing. Let’s see if it can maintain that same energy.

Probably getting booted to Sundays since Saturdays are now packed and this airs pretty late on Saturday. Seeing Gonzo’s name in the credits still makes me a bit urpy.

Very intriguing first episode, though hard to tell where it’s going to go from there, so at least one more episode to figure that out.

Much better than I expected… then again, I expected it to give me cancer and rape my dogs. Basically Kemeko with magic and much much worse art.

For the time being, my schedule is tentatively looking like:

Monday: Maybe Vampire Knight or ef if I’m in a good mood/
Tuesday: Ugh… nothing exciting… so, a day off. I’ll probably play catchup with other stuff on Tuesdays.
Wednesday: Casshern and/or ToraDora.
Thursday: Quartet for certain, maybe Black Butler too.
Friday: Pengy as long as she lasts (ends at episode 22).
Saturday: Tales of the Abyss and one or both (short entries only though) of Index/Kemeko.
Sunday: ZKC and one or both of Ga-rei/Macademy.

It feels like there are a lot more shows with potential this season than normal, but they seem to all be clustered on Thursdays and Saturdays, which is immensely annoying, but I’ optimistic for the season, and I’m not even watching your precious precious Clannad and Gundam nonsense shows, so *nyeh*. I’m just glad that the premier week is over. While it’s a bit fun to stick your hand into the bag at random and see what shows you pull out, it’s exhausting. Thankfully, it’s been raining here every day for the past week, so it was either watch anime or continue leading the Spanish in a bloody ethical cleansing of the new world. Mmmm genocide.
