Kara no Kyoukai #02 — Murderous Intent

June 25th, 2008

Damn these theatrical releases!

Impressions:

I’ve been sort of watching this one as I attempt to lead the Ottomans to world domination over mainly the Japanese, but the Germans and Persians are also getting underfoot. Ergo, MPlayer finished capping it well before I finished watching it. At any rate, it’s more of Ryougi’s backstory and her friendship with Kokutou. We get to see more of Shiki’s background and her hidden side and a bit less on the mystical side and her magical eyes. Although if you consider that she’s had multiple personalities implanted in her, at least one of which likes killing quite a bit, we’re still in the magical realm.

Anyway, like I said, I’m still only about 35 minutes out of 50 in, so just take in the screenies and know that you’ll get to be watching it soon enough. I did certainly love the twin stuffed Len cats. Silly Type-Moon kitties.

Preview:

The truth of Ryougi’s past.

  • Rude says:

Lmao, the white and black Len kitties are the best!

  • Edom says:

It’s be hilarious as hell if the Lens became real and mistake Shiki Ryougi for Shiki Tohno, leading to some hot yuri, Kagetsu Tohya style!

  • As much as I want to like this, the scenario is boring me to tears, and it looked tons better than one. I LOVE the series, but their animation is so stilted in scenes that aren’t battle scenes! It’s like watching an animated oil painting … I’m admiring the technique, but I’m not seeing a lot of action or drama actually happening or unfolding before my eyes.

    Character development baaaaddddddd

    she’s got a knife!
