What is "The Amount of Time It Takes Kaiji to Cross a Girder?" I’ll take Potpourri for $800.

Impressions:

This arc is slowly killing me. I was happier with the previous episode since the drama wasn’t nonsensical, but little did I know that another entire episode of the same thing was lurking just ahead. Maybe I’d be a little more drawn in if this arc wasn’t a bunch of people taking a sobriety test for approaching two months. What’s the next arc going to be? People reciting the alphabet backwards while suspended over acid? Actually… given the Japanese alphabet, that might not be too bad to watch. At least it’d be an educational experience. I didn’t even bat an eye or care about ol’ whose-his-face falling to his death either… and now that Sahara is clinging half onto the destination ledge, I can only imagine some kind of twisted joust on a platform between him and Kaiji to wrap this up. Or maybe that’s just futile hope for an American Gladiators showdown to make this arc interesting again.
