Or maybe a Dyson.
Impressions:
This episode was simply awful. There’s just no two ways around it. More confirmation that Konoe and everything surrounding her is a lie and that’s it and Wilhelmina tries to cook a cabbage. There, I have saved you twenty boring, pointless minutes that do nothing to advance the plot or show any form of action aside from the 10 seconds of Wilhelmina throwing her ribbons around at the start. Alright, so you will miss Margery moaning while in ecstasy and another awkward Shana bath scene, I’m sure there will only be eight or nine others to make up for it. Man, end this awful Konoe arc already, JCStaff. It’s absolutely killing me. Unfortunately, next week looks to be a study session and about Ogata and Eita with her finally learning that he’s whoring it up with Margery. Wonderful.
Wilhelmina attacks Yuji who is able to dodge her ribbons. She pauses in the attack, then sends them at him again, but this time he deflects them upward with his arm. Unfortunately, he also loses his balance and tumbles off the roof. Still, it’s a demonstration of how is power is growing that he was able to use his arm to deflect without taking damage.
He thanks Wilhelmina for the evening and they talk about how strange Shana has been acting for a little bit before Wilhelmina excuses herself until the next day. She and Tiamat discuss current events as they walk home.
At her apartment, Wilhelmina and Shana patiently wait until their cup ramen finishes. Alastor has a snide comment about getting cup ramen once again and wonders how Wilhelmina can be such a bad cook after so long a life. Shana gets up without eating and goes to the bath.
While soaking, she remembers arguing with Yuji the previous day. Wilhelmina comes in to pick up her laundry and tells Shana that she’ll take care of any things that are wrong. Shana just gets increasingly annoyed with her and says that she understands all that, but she wants Wilhelmina to get the hell out of her hair. Wilhelmina silently walks away.
The next day, Wilhelmina is talking to Chigusa as Yuji leaves to go pick up Konoe on his way to school. Wilhelmina excuses herself as well.
Yuuji arrives at a mansion and uses the knocker. A butler answers the door, immediately recognizing Yuji. He tells him that Konoe isn’t ready yet and invites him in. He’s wearing the same bracelet as she does. Yuji, ever the trusting buffoon, goes right in as the butler thanks him for taking care of Konoe at school and whatnot.
As they walk through the mansion’s halls, Yuji notices that they seem to pass the same study twice. Hecate finally comes out and smiles at him. The two head to school together while Yuuji makes meaningless small talk about his classmates and whatnot. They eventually reach Shana, who is all twitching eyebrows and impotent annoyance. Yuji moves to go after her when she storms away, but Hecate stops him.
At school, Konoe calmly places all her things on her desk with Yuji’s help. Everybody is annoyed with the attention Yuji is getting. The teacher comes in and rambles on briefly before asking Ogata and Yuji to help out Konoe later.
At the shopping mall, Wilhelmina ponders actual food, but returns to the cup ramen. She stops herself from buying it with a sigh.
On the rooftop, the jilted girls mope. In the classroom, everybody asks Yuji whats up with Shana. Ogata even points out that he’s being an ass to the ones that bring him food. Konoe ignores it all and starts in on their lunches.
Later, Ike asks Yuji if he has a crush on Konoe. He says nah, and then Iku says that he should really pay more attention to what’s going on around him, with a meaningful glance towards Shana and Yoshida.
Wilhelmina walks out of the supermarket and hears a merchant loudly selling his wares. He goes on about his cabbage. Wilhelmina picks it up and then Chigusa shows up.
The two walk and talk together. Chigusa thinks that something’s bothering her about Shana. She gives her own maternal advice on getting along with their kids though Wilhelmina is more focused on the bigger picture of humans. Chigusa invites Wilhelmina over for some training, and probably not the sexy kind.
As Ogata gets ready to head home, Eita invites her to go home with them. Then Yuji and Konoe, her prior engagement, show up to take her away for a threesome.
Yoshida and Shana continue moping in the classroom as they see Konoe, Yuji and Ogata leave together. They all struggle with this strange new feeling of jealousy that neither have felt since the last 25 episodes of the series.
Margery, meanwhile, is the only intelligent one of the lot and is busy in the throes of passion. Maybe it’s from a backrub, maybe something else. At this point, it’s the most interesting thing that’s happened in the epiosde. She also wants more liquor. Unfortunately, the backrub finishes and Marco starts ranting.
Having dropped off Konoe, Ogata and Yuji continue on their way together. They talk about her until they see Eita not suspiciously waiting at all around the corner. Yuji excuses himself and lets the two lovebirds continue the walk home together, complete with bumping hands and Eita trying to work up the courage to hold her’s.
Shana arrives home to smoke filling the apartment. She runs in a panic to find Wilhelmina… who has a collection of notes all over the place and is cooking some form of monstrosity. Shana is dumbstruck.
Yuji also arrives home to find his kitchen similarly destroyed.
Wilhelmina gives Shana the cabbage of doom, filled with god only knows what.
She’s also covered in minor injuries. She hands it off to Shana, telling her that it’ll make her better. Shana takes a bite and says that it’s pretty awful, but keeps eating it. She continues, saying that since Wilhelmina made it, it’s delicious.
Yuji mopes in his bed, wondering how or why spending time with other girls would annoy Shana. Yoshida brushes her teeth while her head is blissfully empty.
