Impressions:

Doing the full coverage of Prism Ark really takes it out of me, especially when there’s stuff to actually rip out of it and comparisons to the game to make. Ergo, this will likely be the last week I cover  both Jyushin Enbu and Rental Magica. I don’t mind doing a quickie post of one or the other. I’m leaning towards Rental Magica since I’m enjoying it more, but I’m also kind of hesitant since Eclipse is really doing a great job of staying on top of the fansubs while the JE ones are lagging. Personal utility vs personal enjoyment then. *shrug*

Anyway, the episode was focused on Mikan this time and her shrine. A lot of it was the pretty predictable “I want to prove that I’m as useful as Honami” rigmorale (good word… rigmorale) ending with a showdown between her and a kid possessed by an ancient pissy samurai. At least she was pretty cute through most of it… barring the somewhat scary closeup shots at any rate. At least Itsuki’s protective maternal nature made him step up a little bit, though the dude really needs to grow a spine and get his company in line. The guy literally employs a harem of women… plus the Japanese equivilent of the crazy lady down the street with 15 cats… and is so whipped that he probably can’t even go to the bathroom without the written consent of all his ladies… and cat man.
