I hope they finally form Voltron and save Satoko next episode.

Aroduc’s note: Civ4 versus Higurashi = bulletpoint summary. Apologies. It was yet a third “gathering of the forces” episode anyway. At least this time, it was marginally more interesting because it shed more light on the exact relationship between the Hojo family and the shadowy mafia of Hinamizawa. Then again, I knew all this beforehand anyway, so… whatever. I’m still kind of surprised that they’ve stretched this whole “Satoko needs help” for so long without well… getting to the meat of this arc. Or maybe I’ve said too much.

Summary:

• K-1 and the Hinamizawa All-Stars are are talking about Satoko with the village heads. Mion drags his ass outside where the teachers give him one half peptalk, one half reminder .
• Keiichi thinks that they still blame the Hojos for past grievances (dam stuff), but (S/M)ion think that they just need somebody to blame for the problems.
• Shion makes a quip that maybe it’s Oyashiro’s Curse, to which Rika says that Oyashiro thinks Satoko’s cute.
• K-1 heads back in and lays down the law… “Satoko’s been suffering and nobody is helping her.” Head dude (I forget his name) says that’s enough for the night, but K-1 gets pissed until the guy says that it’s from the dam business. K-1 gets pissed and throws a hissy fit.
• Everybody’s pissed at K-1’s behavior, but Shion continues the good fight on his behalf.
• K-1 gives his nineteenth speech about Satoko being their comrade and needing their power to form Voltron and save her. Everybody in the room finally decides to go with ’em, leaving only the Sonozaki.
• Old dude asks Mion what they’ll think and Keiichi asks him to go with them when they talk to Oryou. He tentatively agrees, but is still concerned about it.
• They present their case, but Oryou doesn’t care at all about any of it one way or the other.
• The Sonozaki mother notes that what the Sonozaki do affects the whole region.
• Shion and Keiichi ask one more time and Oryou wants to know what they’ll do if she says no.
• Keiichi threatens her by saying it’s what Shion would do if she were the head, pissing off Oryou.
• K-1 asks one more time, and Akane interjects something that makes Oryou think twice.
• (S/M)ion’s father adds his $.02 as well, saying how much K-1 is drawing other people to him.
• Oryou kicks them out finally.
• Outside, everybody tells K-1 that he made a great impression on Oryou somehow.
• Evil-Mode Rika and K-1 have yet another short conversation about breaking fate.
• Elsewhere, lots of people are freaked about what’s going on in Hinamizawa.
• At school, K-1 gets the news that the child counseling center has rejected their request for another appointment.
• Almost all of Hinamizawa has turned out to squat on the agency’s doorstep until they help Satoko while the counselors cower inside.
• Ooishi tells K-1 that the center has called the cops on them.
• At the Hojo home, Teppei has been receiving calls about Satoko. Pissed off, he goes to Satoshi’s room to get the bank stuff, but Satoko tries to stop him.
• Even more pissed now, he slams her into the wall and tells her to shut up, then kicks her again when she starts crying.
• Back at the center, (S/M)ion’s dad shows up, freaking the counselor out. He tries to run, not particularly successfully.
• They finally call Satoko’s house, but she’s cowering on the floor, covered in fresh bruises.
