Murder Princess #04: Oniiiiii-sama!
June 30th, 2007
Sorry Kaito, yuri is thicker than blood. Or something like that.
Impressions:
Same old, same old. I just turn my brain off and pretend that this isn’t a mediocre OVA and am able to accept it as an above-average normal series. That said, the fight scene between Alita and the dark knight was one of the better ones of the series so far. In fact, this is probably the strongest episode of the series so far, but it’s still only barely starting to approach OVA quality, although they did make exceptionally nice use of the electric guitar tracks through the last ten minutes or so. I was also very pleased that they didn’t drag out the whole “Kaito is the dark knight” thing and did the big reveal in a single episode. I’m also rather pleased that Dr Onion is dead… though I’m less pleased that his lolis are apparently still around.
The Black Knight Seizes Forland
Summary:
We return to the castle in the middle of nowhere to find a royal ball in progress to celebrate Kaito’s return to Forland and his imminent coronation. People have come from all over the kingdom to pay their respects. Poor Alita is stuck at his side doing pretty much nothing.
Dom is packing away his stuff and saying that now that Kaito is back and once he’s king, the kingdom will be saved and Alita will be ready to move on. Milano thanks them for everything that they’ve done for her and Forland.
Alita collapses on her bed and looks over at the broken clay doll from last episode when he hears Godou, ever the idiot chamberlain yelling for her and barging into a lady’s bedroom unannounced. She’s gone when they come it though, so they leave. Except for the suspicious Dom, who waits and sees her hiding on top of the bed, but lets her stay quiet instead of going back to hanging with Forland.
Alita keeps moping out in the courtyard with the broken doll when Kaito, who has also slipped away from the party comes up to chat with her. He talks about his coronation tomorrow and quizes Alita about their past. He then hugs her tightly and tells her that he’ll never leave her again and that she needs to be careful in insidious black knight voice caring older brother voice.
Dom and Piotyr come to break up the little incestuous party. Dom thinks that something’s up and they’ll need to be on their guard tomorrow and remember that they’re not out of the woods yet.
Back at the throne room, Kaito is getting dressed down by Godou while Milano watches on. He says something about making sure that the princess is in hand, which makes Milano nervous, so she goes trotting off. I guess yuri is thicker than blood. THANK GOD. As she leaves, we note that the palace security is fucking awful, as Dr Onion is sitting there gnawing on appetizers with his lolis, totally undisguised.
Let me get this straight. This man invaded your castle. Killed your guards. Killed your king. Killed the princess’ stand-in. Has run amok in your town. And here he is having a peaceful dinner at your party. No fucking wonder Forland is in trouble.
Alita is moping in her room again, thinking about the various things she wants to do to Milano her memories of Milano when she hears a knock. The door opens, but we see Milano still en route to her room. Milano opens the door, but Alita is gone. On the table, the broken doll is taped up (they have scotch tape?) and a note from Alita saying that she’s sorry that she broke the doll.
Over at generic evil hallway from the last episode, Alita and the evil sorceress are walking towards the sealed door. Honestly, the sorceress got in as well? Does this place have no security at all? Alita stops in front of the door and asks the woman what he goals are, but the woman grabs her hand and presses it to the door. The door lights up, but Alita immediately grabs her in a headlock. A flame spark pushes Alita back, and the two prepare to fight.
Back in Alita’s room, Milano, Pete and Dom notice that she left her sword behind. They see a trail of water and follow it to a dead end… or a secret passage.
Back with sorceress and Alita, they’re fighting, but since Alita lacks a weapon all she can really do is dodge. At least, until the sorceress brings out a mini-wand that shoots lightning. Getting tagged by the lightning a couple times sparks a memory of fighting the woman before in a burning village. Pete leaps to Alita’s rescue with a flash bomb and Milano throws Alita her sword. Pete and Milano jump to intercept the lightning letting Alita leap over them and slice up the little rod.
The team quickly retreats, only to run into the idiot robot gothlolis. The lolis have figured things out, but as Dr Onion starts to explain the secret of Teoria, he gets a giant sword through the back. Standing over him is the black knight.
Dr Onion is finally fucking dead. The lolis start flipping out and go berserk. Both leap to attack the knight but are immediately thrown back and destroyed. Miss Sorceress finally catches up, her rod put back together. Alita draws her sword and the sorceress finally takes off her hood, letting Alita fully remember about the flaming village. She immediately rushes to attack, but the black knight gets in the way and knocks her back.
She starts coughing up blood as the knight attacks again. The force of his attack blasts her back into the party. For some reason, Piotyr has picked up the goth lolis. Milano stands up to the dark knight and sorceress and calls out for Kaito to come to their rescue. The sorceress tells Milano that Kaito is already here… and the black knight takes off his mask.
Everybody is totally shocked. Kaito is a bit pissed off at all of them and declares Milano a traitor and Alita a fake. He orders them seized and the guards rush forward. Piotyr and Dom have their heads on straight though and beat a hasty retreat through smoke grenades (where do they get this stuff?). Kaito thanks the sorceress (Seishu?), strides to the center of the room and declares the everlasting glory of Forland.
The next day, Kaito is crowned king of Forland. On the outskirts of the kingdom, Alita is still knocked out while Milano is caring for her and we get treated to some nice heavy metal as it fades to black.

Is this series realy worth the pc disk space? seriously the yuri = YUCK, the jokes = YUCK, the storyline = pathetic! i mean it was so obvious who the black knight was.
the only reason i’m watching is to get an idea of what happens at the end of the manga which:
NO YURI
GOOD JOKES
Awsome lines (see 3rd chapter)
realy dissapointing this anime. only seeing it because the last volume aint out in english.
