Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS #13 – Nanoha’s Babysitting Adventure

June 24th, 2007

You would think that with all the breast meat in the show, there’d be more than one person actually sporting a pair of ovaries and half a clue on how to take care of a crying child.

As usual, caps to be replaced when a somewhat better quality raw appears.
Better caps up.

Impressions:

As expected, this is a pretty sedate episode after the high pace of the last two. Unfortunately, we really don’t advance the plot in any meaningful way other than sort of a generic doom and gloom prophecy about the end of the TSAB. There is a little bit of Agito development… but that’s really about it… and it’s Agito… so honestly… who cares at the moment? Meh. On to the new OP (hopefully) next week! At least heterochromatic Vivio is kind of cute, but that’s really the only particularly interesting thing going on this ep, and even that’s kind of stretching.

Summary:

Agito wakes up in a white room, not knowing where she is. Her wings are tattered, she is chained down and naked, and then a man comes up to her with a syringe and injects her with something that causes her to yell and convulse while flames appear around her and others stand by with note pads. Then the room explodes. Zest and Lutecia are there, and Zest picks her up off her examination table. The two prepare to leave, but Lutecia stops him, and picks up the tiny Agito to bring with them.

Agito wakes with a start from her dream and thinks back to the encounter with Vita and Rein. She doesn’t know many things, but she does know that she’s sticking with Lutecia, and starts yelling in general at the sky about people who get in her way.

Signum is driving Nanoha in her own pimp-mobile as the two chat about Vivio’s status. Signum then receives a call from Schach that the girl has suddenly disappeared. Schach and Signum search the indoors while Nanoha checks the outside. Nanoha’s the first one to find her, but Schach sees her shortly after and immediately changes into battle mode (her device sounds like “Interceptor” and is a pair of tonfa).

Poor Vivio immediately loses her smirk and goes into terrified mode. Nanoha thanks Schach for the help, and comforts poor Vivio. She asks the kid what she’s doing, and Vivio says that her mama is gone. Nanoha offers to search for her with the kiddo.

Elsewhere, Hayate and Fate are chatting about how the status of the division. They put in a call to Nanoha, only to find Vivio clinging to Nanoha, bawling her eyes out and surrounded by the cadets. Fate and Hayate run over to save Nanoha from the skirt clinger, but not before Hayate gets in a jab at Nanoha finally meeting an opponent that she can’t defeat.

Fate picks up Vivio’s bunny and starts playing with her while mentally chastising the cadets for scaring her shitless. Clearly Fate is the only one of the whole lot with any sort of maternal instincts. Vivio is eventually pacified enough to let the Aces leave, and she gets left in the care of the cadets while the three take Storm Raider over to Carim’s Pad.

Subaru and Teana are filling out reports and whatnot on the latest mission, and of course, Subaru is probably illiterate and Teana finishes first. Subaru is thinking some overly heavy thoughts about the Numbers, so Teana flicks her forehead and knocks her out of her chair and tells her to get back to work.

Carim officially welcomes the Aces to her love nest where Chrono is also hanging out. Hearing Fate call Chrono “onii-chan” is kind of strange and disquieting, but thankfully, he’s as embarrassed by hearing it as I am.

Vivio is finally put to bed by Erio and Caro, letting them have some private time. Erio starts thinking about how she’s probably an artificial mage and her possible relations to Project F.

Chrono and Carim are filling in the Aces on the current shake-ups in the TSAB administration and how it relates to Riot 6. Carim brings out a deck of cards and uses what sounds like “Prophet Sift,” to divine the future. Two of the cards are sent to Nanoha and Fate, who read them and nod. Carim tells them that she has forseen that the Logia will be gathered and that they will be activated and that the TSAB/Riot 6 is going to have… well… let’s just say shit will be ruined. The important part of her prophecy though is “A King will perish, a Tower will fall, and a Ship will sink.” I’ll leave the wild guessing about the meaning to somebody else.

We go back to General Windbag and his evil secretary, who are still discussing Riot 6. They have the complete chart set up of the rankings and relations of it. He notes that Hayate is at the center and thinks more about how Hayate shouldn’t be in charge of it.

Fate and Nanoha excuse themselves from Hayate and prepare to head home. Hayate stops them and says that they’re very important friends and she doesn’t want anything to happen to them, etc etc. Basically a talk between the three about being friends and how everything will be fine. Very droll really.

Erio and Caro are reading to Vivio again when Fate and Nanoha walk in. Vivio immediately jumps up and clings to Nanoha. Hayate heads back to her room and takes out her Book of the Night Sky amulet. She then opens a desk drawer and takes out an old picture album and thinks about Admiral Graham and the death of the first Reinforce and how she is not going to waste the life that those two gave to her.

I’m pretty sure General Windbag’s secretary is a Number.

  • Ronin says:

It is time to start the ‘Nanoha StrikerS Death Watch’!!

I believe Hayate’s day are numbered.

  • elfvin says:

hey can anyone of u tell me which system u all use to download the latest episode of nanoha strikers?

  • Fencedude says:

So far both Nanoha and Hayate have death flags flying like crazy. Fate still doesn’t have any, but its probably just a matter of time.

I severely doubt they’ll kill off any of the Aces, but if they DO…I think it’ll be Nanoha. If you are going to do something like that, you might as well go all out.

Also, Vivio is Ganeden. I dunno if that means anything to any of you, but if it does, you probably agree.

I’m hoping for a Season 4. Definitely do not want any of the 3 to disappear. I’ll be real sad.

Btw, do you think Project F is related to Fate? She is created too…..

  • Ronin says:

If you go back to episode 5, you see the hentai doctor commenting about the specimens from ‘Project F’ while looking at Fate and Erio. So Fate is definitely involved.

  • Ruri says:

    >Subaru is probably illiterate and Teana finishes first.

I think in the A’s to StrikerS comic, Teana mentions that Subaru’s grades are actually pretty good…

Oh, did you notice ferret Yuuno in the bottom left corner of the eyecatch? =P
