I hope you like Rin’s cleavage and Mikoto.

Man, two episodes with a combined 5 seconds of Ayane and Machi? Say it ain’t so, Joe! Say it ain’t so! Not a bad episode though, even if it did drag on at times. Mikoto and her attitude really carries it, especially as Suzu and Rin are pretty much completely energyless for the entire episode. Our darling little lesbian was really the only enervating thing about this episode. They do need to get some new background music though… the endless use of the marimba is giving me Mai HiME xylophone flashbacks.

Our scene opens with naked Rin trying to take a bath in public in peace. In true harem traditions, it takes about 5 seconds before she manages to have whose-her-face, Tonkatsu and Ikuto all join her. She freaks out, and Ikuto is so grateful that a female finally is embarrassed about being naked around him, that he runs up to her and grabs her in thanks. Good move, casanova.

 Once the OP rolls, Ikuto finally lands from the uppercut. Somehow Rin has managed to get dressed, dried and track him down while he was in the air. Rin also gives him a faceful of white meat while making sure that she didn’t hurt him.

The two talk about how she’s the only normal one on the island when it comes to being embarassed and she explains that she doesn’t like being naked around anybody. She senses a presence and attacks a tree, only to let our little lesbian ninja sneak up and grab her from behind. I hadn’t realized she spoke in Osakan before, although she kind of slips in and out of it. She threatens Ikuto a bit before getting clubbed by Rin.

That night, Ikuto tells Suzu that Rin asked them to help her out tomorrow. That’s about the extent of interesting things going on there. We then go to Rin’s house with her very hot mother. They fight over dinner, then all make overtures that Rin should be seducing Ikuto.

The next morning, the two head over to help Rin. Rin’s mother gives the introductions and they start working while Mikoto starts ranting at Suzu about how Ikuto is going to take Rin away from her and leave Suzu as well. Suzu’s good natured and a bit thick, so this literally gets dragged on for about 2-3 minutes.

Rin is splayed and displaying her full wares for Ikuto as she shows him how well she can hammer things between her legs. Then manages to tag her thumb, prompting Ikuto to bandage it along with pink hearts and fuzzy mist and Mikoto to try to hit him with a hammer.

A little later, Rin manages to trip and bludgeon/smother Ikuto with her chest, prompting another attack from Mikoto. Then a bunch of shots of Rin being a clumsy oaf and Ikuto comforting her. She runs off embarrassed, and before he can chase her, Mikoto hits him with a few gallons of water and challenges him to a battle.

The two are competing over various carpentry tasks, and somehow Ikuto is keeping up with a trained carpenter and lesbian ninja. There’s something wrong with the world. The house gets built in record time because of their efforts , though god only knows how you would determine the winner.

They’re rewarded with dinner for their work, and Rin’s mom hits the sauce immediately. A woman after my own heart. Some more hearts and fuzzy mist between Rin and Ikuto ends when Rin’s drunk mother butts in, followed by Mikoto and a giant explosive watermelon. I seem to recall in the manga, Suzu had the last word with a jealous attack. Oh well.

The post-episode blip is Suzu waking up in the middle of the night and thinking about what Mikoto told her and making some word jokes about not being able to remember the phrase she used about love.
