How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord #01 — Wall of Text

Fanservice shows weren't always this lazy, were they?

Impressions:

Japan is tiring me very quickly with this crap. My patience had run raw long before the 'emotional' scene where mid-rape, the catgirl breaks down in jubilant tears because nobody's even said they'd be he friend before, but that was the defining moment of godawfulness. Some of the other competition included the literal wall of text explaining the triviality of some gacha mechanics, all the parts where the elf's boobs were bouncing at a completely different frame rate from the rest of the animation, and any of the various spontaneous imagined screaming orgasms. It should say a lot that the summoned into an MMO as an invulnerable godling, power level crap, and roaming bands of murderous racists don't even make the top five for terrible moments.

And like the previous show, that's all there is to it. Say whatever you want about things like Queen's Blade or Ikki Tousen, but at least they have a story driving them, and in the better seasons, are happy to viciously murder some or all of their casts… even if it finds ways to haul their corpses back from the dead later. Hell, even things like Nagasarete at least invented some conflict every single week. Here, the story is "I'm in a fantasy world with god mode and a slave harem." That's the whole she-bang. That's it. There's no quest. There's no grand challenge facing our rapist 'hero.' If anything, it goes out of its way to assure us that he is able to effortlessly overcome everything that could be thrown at him. And with no humor too, or at least the writers not realizing how idiotic every aspect is, that just leaves tits and random screams trying to pass as moans.

Show bored me to tears five minutes in. Made me miss Last Period, which was kind of an isekai show, except the women didn’t throw themselves at Haru, or their breasts at the camera.

I was expecting the dude to pull a smartphone from his ass but alas it was a magic wand instead.

The manga is pretty much one of the few Isekai I can tolerate reading,

And yes, they were always that lazy.
