Lupin III Pt 5 #02 — Sloppy Wetwork

April 10th, 2018

I feel like assassins wouldn't want to be near people being constantly tracked and filmed.

Impressions:

Yeah, not to repeat myself, but I think I may be over Lupin now, or at least the direction they've taken just about every recent iteration of it. They could've used the premise that all the world and technology is tracking Lupin, so it's time to be extra super duper heisty. Or hell, just rebooted it into another season of MØUSE. What a goddamned weird little show that was, right? People having sex? Crazy talk.

Anyway, point is, it does neither. The big 'caper' this week is that they ran to a garage, so they could drive to a plane, so they could fly away. Who could have ever seen that master plan coming? The rest of the episode is spent quite literally faffing around until finally the cliffhanger and unintentional tie in to a mediocre horror Groundhog Day that hey, the people who hate him get all this information too. That could've been the meat of the episode; a full throttle action packed episode, but no. That's the cliffhanger. Maybe we'll get that episode next week. It might make me stick around if we do. I'm not holding my breath though.
