Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST #01 — SPEEDLINES

It's like action, without having to animate anything.
Impressions:
It spent a good couple of minutes sort of pretending like it would animate its action. Then we got to the padding, then it became time for more action, but wouldn't you know it? The budget had run completely dry and all we could do was stills with speedlines and blood spurts. Meanwhile, there was some particularly inane subplot going on about a crazy woman obsessively singing the town's favorite song or something, which led to a bunch of them being slaughtered, but showed the depth of her caring about… the town, I guess? The protagonists involvement to this was to deliver a couple pithy lines about the greatness of humanity. Hell if I know either.

Wow. Really is a lot of stills. Almost makes me want to re-watch Reload Gunlock instead.
Guess I’ll wait for the dub (hopefully won’t be sentai’s cast or a bunch of new names for the main cast)
