Impressions:

This mostly confirmed that they're not going to put forth anything but the most token of efforts for the dogfights anymore as well. They've stopped caring about the story, it's not clear they ever cared about the characters, and even the CD-selling pop concerts have kind of gone by the wayside. Naught's left but some melodrama. That's cheap to do though. Just have some characters stare into space, looking like they're struggling not to crap their pants until everyone says to believe in things, symbolize it with astral women floating around and/or hugs (or this episode, both!), and then to drive it home, have an utterly extraneous tertiary character sacrifice themselves.

Seriously. How many goddamned times does Freyja need to be nervous about singing, only to be told that it's going to be okay, and then sing for real, which saves Hayate, shown through him grunting? I think the count is at around eight now. With another four or five times where she fell out of something and needed to be caught. Someone rope that halfwit down already.
