Impressions:

Well, Subaru's doubletake at the end to a giant eye looking at him made me chuckle, but like damn near everything with this show, I'm 99% certain that wasn't the intended reaction. But hey, an episode where Subaru didn't spend most of it feeling sorry for himself. Oh wait, they were just hiding his face so we couldn't see his permanently constipated look of distress. So what's he doing to change his fate? Emasculating himself and listening to girls talk. He began the show emasculated. That hasn't changed. I don't know why we need yet another episode of him being further emasculated.

At this point, 16 episodes in (17, really), and the most meaningful thing he's done to change his circumstance at any point is that one time he killed himself. Whereupon he immediately forgot that he could do that and continues to overreact to every single life-threatening situation at the end of episodes, while spending the episodes themselves pissing around, either getting beaten up by, listening to exposition from, or having his ego stroked by the various XX chromosomes of the show. You're on notice, show. Even with a goddamned date episode, I think I've taken all I can of this tiresome dimwit who's superfluous to his own story.

And seriously, what the hell were they thinking with a goddamned doubletake?
