Impressions:

Macross makes another powerful argument for why I should give up on it, but so have Zestiria and Re:Zero lately. This time, it's with an insipid date episode. Sure, the lack of idol concerts is nice, but if they want to keep pretending like they're a dramatic show about biological weapons stuffed into apples and the horrors of war (and idols), then they're not exactly doing a great job of it by having episodes where everyone strips and humps each other, followed by an episode of entirely talking heads, followed by traipsing through a mall and eating Golden Gaytimes. Look it up. There's also a birthday party and a montage of frolicing in the snow, because why not?

That's enough braincells wasted on this. Let's see how many the other two shows today will murder.
