This is why proper pronunciation is important.

I'm having brunch and doing associated familial things this morning, so Re:Zero will have to wait until I'm home. I do plan on covering it though. At least for this week. And after how dumb this week's episode of this was… even relatively speaking… it'd probably have to screw the pooch pretty badly to not stick with it on an otherwise dull Sunday. But today, it shall be an hour or two late.

Impressions:

This whole episode seemed especially dedicated to being as nonsensical as possible, which is actually kind of a feat when you consider the starting point. It worries me that they not only recorded, but felt the need to show fighter pilots a cutesy little PSA on helmet wearing, but I guess he did show his magical no-helmet-needed powers last week, and their leader apparently regularly strips to the buff and goes out and stands on cliffs while philosophizing to herself. Sure, that may be a sign of a tremendous mental break or a sign that she's high off her balls on seal-cat urine or something, but not here. She's just one with… space maybe? It's not really clear what. I can't wait for her to go the way of the mentor martyr.

The second half affirmed that it was more interested in the dumb idol concerts than the dogfights or whatever. They certainly could've just cut things off before launching into an entire insipid transformation sequence montage and song and dance number, but then where would we have gotten awkwardly flouncing tits? I also have to wonder how it was the idols on stage who had the equipment and acumen to be the first to realize that there were missiles incoming. The ambushing evil ace pilots from the land of hair-glowiness also broke off at the end of the episode to do an elaborate skywriting emblem. How much did they have to practice to get that right? Is that what they were doing instead of learning to wear helmets? Were they glowering and sulking the entire time, or is that something they're really excited about doing? I have questions that I don't actually want answered at all.

You have a lot of questions that will likely never be addressed.

Also, the Zeon/Windermere fighters look fantastic. It’s too bad I had to sit through a terrible idol concert to see them.
