But that's socially unusual!

I have to go to work now, so the rest of today's shows will be up in… 9ish or so hours.

Impressions:

Oh thank god, something this morning with the background music volume set at an appropriate level. I guess they had to do something since there's so very little going on in the visuals. Seems like we've temporarily got most of the exposition out of our system after yesterday's expositastic affairs, although I'm sure I'll regret saying that. Again though, failure to be obnoxious isn't the same as doing something else well. This is clearly centered around the characters, and the lead is as big a mobile sack of flour as they come. He almost seemed a tad more mature and together than your typical bland sack of nothingness too, right up until he had a goddamned panic attack about a girl walking into the boy's bathroom while he was washing his hands. That would also be the extent of the emotion shown by either of the two leads during the entire episode, and if there's anything that really gets me on board and invested with the characters, it's when they're not invested and don't care either. We're all on the same page then.

This also decided to play its cards close to its vest with the premise going forward, which is pretty silly considering that it's practically the first sentence of the summary about it. Once again, that leaves us with about twenty minutes of not much of anything. No real attempts to amuse with its characters or their interactions, no drama to speak of, nada. Just… here's a few bland characters mincing around, down to the blandest two for the most boring date montage ever at the end. Mince, mince, mince. Pay no attention to all the ones in the background with unique designs and 4-5 lines. I'm sure they won't be important ever. Next week, maybe they'll mince with slightly more of a purpose, but I kind of doubt it.
