Impressions:

Remember Joshiraku? And remember the awful episode with the quiet girl where things going on had basically nothing to do with the random melodramatic flashback, and she was basically not related to the episode or word of the week at all? Well, it’s time for the exact same thing, except for the obnoxious colorful haired guy. Which means basically 12 minutes of filler, the antagonist corrupts the word “insect”, they deploy, literally immediately get swallowed whole, and then its time to dump out a whole bunch of totally unrelated nonsense about his past until he feels sorry for himself until… he overcomes it by doing a ‘comedy’ routine, which is so offensive to the entire concept of humor that it drives out the evil. They’re accomplishing the impossible and making me kind of miss the time when Okada was writing Aquarion. Are we even trying here anymore? No? Good, then let’s move on to the 2 episode, one episode a month Yuru Yuri OVA.
