Those… sure are the same tired aimless cliches from the last two seasons tossed out for no reason.

Impressions:

A review of Katanashi’s family, followed by Katanashi talking about his family interspersed with further reminders about what the gimmicks of each member of Katanashi’s family. Good god. That was atrocious. Again, we’re not actually doing anything with these bad cliches. Just repeating them and apparently hoping for the best. “Remember how X is Y” is not going to cut it. Is the barest structure or point to an episode too much to ask? Clearly, yes.

The second half didn’t fare much better either, mostly because it continued to be attached to Katanashi’s hip and his total lack of any kind of personality. He… broke his glasses when Poplar chest-butted him Yamada teddy bear punched him and made Inami blush by squinting at her. And what else did they do with that bit? The bog standard talk to thin air and mistake one person for another… twice. Clearly, expecting as much creativity as a Mr. Magoo cartoon was a joke. Sure was good of Poplar and Yamada to bother showing up for that one gag to remind us that they existed though.
