Screw the man!

Impressions:

Well, at least there weren’t any maudlin flashbacks this time around. Instead, we just have a pyrokinetic(ish) pyromaniac pop idol who’s literally two-faced, and we’ve never seen an idol who acts all cutesy but is actually a giant bitch before. Which isn’t to say that it doesn’t ramp up the piano music to deafening and have someone spontaneously burst into tears over how emotional it all was. And by it all, I mean the idol ghost explaining her problem with The Man, and then them effortlessly resolving it by beating people up and stabbing them with their powers. I’m not sure what the lesson learned or trial overcome was supposed to be here, mostly because there was neither.

Speaking of them beating up an entire posse of people with their powers, they’re also really stretching suspension of disbelief with how they’re so openly and flamboyantly using their abilities. This is exactly the reason why Senator Kelly proposed the Mutant Registration Act, and the more that they keep stumbling over teenagers openly abusing their magic powers with zero discretion to commit major felonies that dozens of people are well aware of, ‘justified’ or not, the more it eats away at the supposed seriousness of the show it keeps trying to push.

5 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

Yeah, there is a plot hole. These 2 guys they took out to replace themselves for playing the human torch flame, they are not dead. This guy with the knife, okay. he was taken over and remember nothing, you can trust that, as for the last one. Well even our MC survived the suddenly acceleration from 0 to insane, without internal body damage, well depends in where he stops. So in the end, there will be some “fake” proves for this Guy. It was also a cunning move for talking “this is not setting in Stone”. She was aware of this little Holes. it was only a matter of time

and yeah, this sudden “i loved you!” and goodbye was crushed tight, but i think they do not wanted an ongoing “but..but.. i loved you, when you was still alive!” substory. But you know what in the OP they try not to spoil to much. but there is a scene where they 4 together watch into a sundown, but left is a spot free for nr.5. We already know how it is, its our MC little sister. She exist in the OP as well. 5 person then again 4 person.. not consistent they are

oh, i remembered a important thing. Our Invisible Girl is not only invisible to the Person she choose. She is also invisible for the Gar Lights. She is not creating a Shadow… Oh well, perhaps she run fast out of the car lights…

Yeah, i am picking on little things. sorry

I love how the MC keeps talking about the “evil scientists” who will catch you and torture you if you use your powers but has no problems telling a random stranger she has powers, and none of them have any problems using them at all in public, good going, guys.

I liked the love confession and response at the end of the show: “you have the hots for me? but I am already dead so go on with your life” lol. I loved the ending song though, kinda catchy.
