Maria the Virgin #07 — Blood!

February 22nd, 2015

That’s how you can tell this episode was super serious.

I need to go run some errands. I’ll get to Yatterman in a little bit.

Impressions:

This was the first episode where a battle actually felt like a battle instead of a bunch of kids chucking nerf weapons at each other. If they were willing to draw blood and a little light dismemberment though, then why have they been using the suction cup darts and foam swords until this point? The machine-gun fire of arrows and the complete turnaround of the battle after Maria yelled at them to stop for about 30 seconds were more than ridiculous enough to warrant a full-face eyeroll or three, so it’s not getting full points yet, but it’s still a dramatic step up from everything else it’s done so far.

Less convincing was the second half when they tried to get all emotional all over the place, in particular all the witches suddenly being besties with her, and Zeke too for that matter. She’s been a gag character so far, struggling to understand why humans would do anything but worship God, but like the witches, Maria apparently won her over because… she heard about something nice Maria did at some point? Go Protagonist Power?

Next Episode:

The goblins cometh.

While watching this episode I couldn’t help but think “man, I know just WHO is going to notice that people are dying and blood is being shed now!” and I wasn’t wrong.

About the rest…I’d tend to disagree, for reasons you don’t share, so let’s leave it at that.

Well, i wished if all are like Josef, he surly has more Awareness of the Situation around him, then the others. I bet he had access to Wisdom, that made him think as he do. Do not forget, Wisdom was at that time a Weapon. Monks and some Nobel’s was the only one, that could actually read and Write. The Monks was the only “School” at that time. So, if they bend the Truth of some Book into their own favor, the “sheep” think it is the truth God wanted. Only the time-age when this “peoples” began to learn read and write on their own, they began to see the truth. So with spreading Wisdom of reading, they began to understand the World around them. i got now get so Real Life Links, but i let it be. If you are “wisdom” blessed, you should come on you own to this Links.

Ezekiel, became tainted with Humanity. Well, i do think even Angels has their own free will (But there is no Proof for that), but Humans has them for Sure. it is their decision to walk the “light” or “Dark” path. it is their own choice

I think, i can see the future episodes. They someone try to Rape Maria, so that she lose her Powers, and Josef will be the bait to capture her. You saw here a glimp of this idea, when they found her on the ground. They could use their Spears to finish her off, but this one began to pull on her feet. Her Familiar know what they wanted to do with her

I really are surprised and curious, in how the Manga-ka and the Anime, explain God’s true actions to hold Maria down and now even try to kill her. At last they do not draw Arc Angel Michael as an heartless Chief Angel. He know where Maria is an such, but he let it be for now. Even he “forgive” Ezekiel for not hitting

i try to pack all thoughts in this post.. Well i try

What this Anime do for me, it’s the fact of 100 Years War and the reason in how Nippon or the Manga-ka see the Christian at their time. Yes, it was dark times

You should maybe give Le Chevalier D’Eon a shot, since it has some actual depth once you look past its sillier bits.

So many flags in this episode. Like, literal flags.

I thought they were going to save the blood for when she lost her virginity.
