Garo #13 — By the Books

You know German’s old lady likes it wild.

Stuff airs before I wake up tomorrow, so I’m starting with a deficit, even skipping the sequels to things I didn’t watch that I’m 98% not going to cover.

Impressions:

An extremely boringly predictable episode. This is exactly the kind of thing that you should be putting in a montage. “Time passes, and nothing happens” is exactly what montages are for. Hell, we don’t even need to see him now. We could’ve probably skipped all of this to start setting up Blondie to go all tyrannical Sith lord for the people’s good/protection, which is the painfully obvious direction to go at the moment, and then come back to Leon the Happy Farmhand when it’s time to get back in it. Then again, that doesn’t require Whose-His-Face to come back from the dead, which he inevitably will, so who knows what they’ll end up actually doing? The ED shows Leon protecting his new girlfriend, so I’m already disappointed that she won’t be corpsing it up to get him back in the game but will apparently be sticking around. Great. We needed the guy afraid of vaginas to have an innocent farmgirl girlfriend.

There’s a new OP, but it’s almost entirely grey static and my encoder is acting up. Oh well.

Next Episode:

Not much.

Good grief, it looks like I was spot-on with my predictions on how this would continue.

As soon as I skimmed through the screencaps for this episode, I remembered your predictions comment for the last episode and then I just laughed and laughed XD.

  • The Phantom says:

NOOOOOO farmgirl must die, I spend the whole episode waiting for her to turn into a corpse, no I am kidding I am delayed several episodes, father is missing so I guess I missed something big… time to go back to check what I miss.
