AKA Obligatory half-assed T&A because it’s in our contracts.

Impressions:

Well, it does have a bit more awareness that it’s a comedy than most of the other ‘comedies’ so far this season. The writer and the music guy are at least. It’s a shame that the animator and directors didn’t bother to show up. And that the writer isn’t very good at their job. But you go, sound guy. Way to do an… uh… adequate job? It probably also doesn’t help that the protagonist’s only contribution to the episode is reading letters out loud. The others all have their little boring niches too. Glasses is the brains, ponytail is the jock, and the blonde has tits, which of course someone has to rub before the first segment is over.

The production side of things is where it’s really lacking though. It does move relatively quickly from joke to joke, but it is visually boring as hell. There’s simply nothing going on with that side at all. I guess at least most aren’t screamed and no gong is rung to signal that a punchline (or non-punchline) has been made and it’s time to laugh, but it’s still hard to call things like “How’d you get in?” “The window.” “But this is the second floor.” jokes either, even if it already hadn’t been used a couple hundred thousand times before.
