I’m tired of this. Let’s have a Battle Moon Wars adaptation.

Another pre-airing. Actual broadcast begins Wednesday the 9th. I have to go to work now, so I’ll get to the other 5 shows today some time in the afternoon.

Impressions:

This has certainly not restructured itself to actually be about magical girls, action, or anything I might find even the faintest bit interesting. They fought a goddamned puddle. The damn thing didn’t even make any aggressive overtures besides covering Luvia and Rin in mud. After that, they magicked at a damn stick Rin shoved into the ground. Not even CGI tentacles or anything. Just a goddamned stick causing a ridiculous CGI cave in. This was the eventful part of the episode. And the first half was nothing but completely empty, padding crap. Not even recapping the previous season, which also would have been awful, but that might have cut into the time of Random Girl #2 screaming about going to the beach and that’s apparently just plain unacceptable.

Perhaps the most definining part of the episode was during the middle when they started to do a little recap of the previous season then stopped it for ice cream time. “That’s delicious!” “Ooh! Yours is delicious too!” “Mmm! Delicious!” And I die a little inside. Granted, that was the one part where I did chuckle slightly when Ilya held out her ice cream, the cheerful music stopped, and Miyu just glared as if thinking “What the hell does this overbearingly bisexual brat think she’s doing? I don’t want your disgusting strawberry,” but then she blushed and took a swallow of Ilya’s cream and the moment was ruined.
