Why can’t you just let him skate, mom?
Broadcast this week was delayed an hour. I’m not late on this icy Sunday afternoon, it was. So was the MX broadcast of Wiz Bars, although not the Sun one.
I’m getting really sick of Yukine and his acting out against mom and dad just ’cause nobody gets his pain, man. He just wants to go skateboarding, man. Get those cookies and hot chocolate away. He just wants sit in the dark and brood. At least there was something of a return to the action partway through, although it was very brief and then they cut away from it for exposition dumping time, so their priorities are just a tad backward, not to mention entirely too focused on a pissy child.
I guess you could call it an introduction to the new character, Bishamon, and her harem of weaponry/lions, but she pretty much just waved a gun in his face as a distraction to shoot him with her off-hand, so it was hard to even take that seriously. She could’ve been easily replaced by a monster of the week for all the purpose she served. It was still firmly about Yukine acting out like a tempermental little child which also only got as far as the stamping of feet and petulant temper tantrums. Something that seems to be common to the characters of the show because Bishamon also lost her temper when he attacked the lion she sicced on him. Sure, she was already trying to kill him, and the lion was chewing on his neck, but fighting back? NOW HE’S GONE TOO FAR! Japan tries to pull this nonsense far too often and this morning I’m not in the mood to have any of it.
Treating lion bites.
