Campone still did it better.

Impressions:

If not for the second half being relatively free of sucking face, I might think that they were quickly moving in the direction of an episode that’s nothing but the two of them with their tongues down the other’s throat. As it stands though, I think that they just realized after the fact that actually biting tongues may not be fanbait enough so they went back to the already done scenes and added extra wet noises, slurping at fluids dripping off of them. And yes, I do believe that to be more worthy of any kind of note than a segment about two of the side characters tailing Haruka before the ever-hilarious joke of over-narrating a cliche scene like a sports event. Japanese media does not lack over-exposition, guys, so when you try to do it and make it a joke instead of… say… an action scene in a show about magical super clothes, well…

The second half was also hitting the cliche bait pretty hard. I was already rolling my eyes before it even began thanks to the title’s segment, but then they tried to use it as a punchline. The usual awful test of courage shenanigans ensued with nothing other than the now tired and rather blasé kissing thanks especially to the first half overdoing it to make it stand out from the hundreds of other tests of courage I’ve suffered through. At least fight a goddamned bear or something.
