Impressions:

At the very least, it’s nice to have a protagonist who doesn’t act like gaining super powers and discovering a fantastic new world that she never knew about before is like super herpes. I’m less enthusiastic about the male lead though. It’s probably because he’s acting as the show’s substitute dictionary when he’s not being a mediocre gag character. I don’t think that adding an unhealthy master-slave relationship with a little boy as his substitute phallus is going to address that very well.

This show badly needs to find agency though. It needs to badly beef up either the episodic structure or introduce a more overextending plot arc, preferably both really. Pissing around for 15 minutes and then fighting whatever giant magical crab they happen to trip over does not a compelling show make and while the animation is decent enough to sell itself as an action show unlike NobunaGun, it’s still not good enough to pass on eyecandy alone. Or even if they had just focused in a little better on looking for a replacement sword/treasure for him this week instead of it being something sort of tossed in around halfway as an excuse for crab before tripping over it a couple minutes later. Blatent plot convenience does not a compelling show make either.
