Ghost Watch #01 — Getting Blobs Laid

January 8th, 2014

There are some disturbing implications about that.

Impressions:

If I had to watch one Pokemon knockoff this season, this makes a decent case for itself. Not good enough to make me actually continue watching it mind you, but people were clearly enjoying themselves making it, or maybe enjoy is the wrong word for a show that makes jokes about a cat trying to pick fights with moving trucks and getting repeatedly flattened. It shows a surprising depth of humor (ie, any) for a show that is primarily Seki Tomokazu and Tomatsu Haruka yelling at each other, covering the gamut from terrible puns to fart jokes. I didn’t say it was witty. Plus, aside from the intro segment that is bizarrely repeated in about a four minute span, cruises right along too, and next week has three parts instead of two so I expect it probably continues that.

It’s still just a show for selling a pokemon knockoff though, just perhaps a lot more focused on and maybe better at the comedy than expected. Exceeding expectations probably wasn’t a particularly significant hurdle to clear. So here’s something that I can only describe as morbidly unhygenic.

Next Episode:

Kappa things and toilets.

Ladies and gentlemen, the most positive feedback Aroduc has given in 2014. Also probably since the beginning of the last two thirds of 2013.

    That aside,
“If you’re reading this, then I’ve forgotten to change the template.”
you’re not even trying anymore, are you? I mean, there’s even literally the protagonist getting sucked into a toilet, something you’d probably wish to happen to many protagonists out there.
