Black hole crotches, we meet again…

I do plan on covering at least Glasses Club and maybe Walkure too, but I have a plane to catch, so it won’t be until much later. Maybe I can bust one out quickly at the airport though. The fourth OVA of this show (from September! Although the DVD was just released this week) finally made its way to the internet, so there’s that to get to as well.

Impressions:

There’s something a little unsettling about the readiness with which they’re flashing Ao’s panties every episode, yet the great lengths they will go in to hide every single other character’s crotch. Maybe it has something to do with how she’s also constantly balancing things on her head now. Some kind of cosmic balance thing? Mostly a joke episode on the daily lives of the characters, the first half focusing on Akina/Ao and the second on Hime/Kotoha. It wasn’t horrible and like always, the show has a much better grasp on characters and interactions, especially just in terms of them not acting like everything is some kind of horrible burden inflicted upon them and enjoying their lives.

The only real event of note was Lila messing with Hime and Kotoha’s sparring match, sending the latter into a post traumatic nuclear meltdown only solved by choking out her magic tongue with another female’s tongue apparently. Which doesn’t work so well against demon hands from the sky or something? There are times when the show could use a midge more explanation, although I’m sure Kotoha wasn’t opposed to getting some anyway and it’s hardly important in the scheme of things. I just hope it doesn’t mean we’ll be going over that yet again. We’ve seen it twice already. I think. Memories are hazy. At least once at any rate. Let’s hit some new stuff. No doubt the postcards will all end up being evil thingies of evil too since that’s how this goes.
