Like I said, it’s usually about rape.

Impressions:

What was it I said in my dumb Rozen Maiden filler post? Everything’s usually about rape? And what did I say four weeks ago about not believing that Ginka was really dead? Funny thing there. While this show is usually frustrating because I can see good ideas in it that were just hamhandled into something completely ineffective or not built at all in the direction they should have gone, this whole angst time loop over an attempted murderer killed in self-defense in order to to make her extra rapeable boggles my mind. What ever happened to just getting them drunk? Or owning a basement? When your magic super plans can be replaced by a $20 a month rental storage unit and a fifth of vodka, you really need to invest in an 8 year old assistant to go over your notes and check for any problems with your planning. And/or what was the point of that entire stupid shadow self arc anyway?  

But at least they fought some trees. Are you fired up yet? Does this battle excite you!? It’s trees! Some goddamned trees. What is it with shows this season and fighting utter garbage? Are we so hard up for antagonists that we can only fight trees, amorphous blobs, rubix cubes, and giant cupie dolls?
