Blood Lad #09 — All In the Family

September 1st, 2013

No matter how little sense it makes, on any level.

Impressions:

I think someone got their character notes crossed this episode between Staz and Braz. The latter was engaging in the ‘wacky’ (to stretch that word to the point of breaking) slapstick action in the second half while the former just spent the entire thing listening to exposition. Well, both spent the first half in Expositionland, where the humor mainly consists of Braz mugging a guy with his dick out for his top hat, mustache, and cape. Because that’s the best way to hide. Go straight for the dicks, then run back out into the streets looking like you’re going to the opera.

I don’t even know what the point of this ‘reveal’ that Bell and Fuyumi are ‘sisters’ is even supposed to be about. Nor does the other selves between worlds make any real sense. People combine when they meet, except when they don’t, because… uh… Ohcrapsaythey’resistersandjustmoveonMOVEON! Move on where, exactly? There’s only one episode left, show. Maybe we should have set up some kind of finale instead of pissing away an episode creating plot holes, nonsense, and unneeded "they were all related all along!" BS  for no reason?

But at least they highlighted the racks. Great work, team.

Next Episode:

Uh, the big finale I guess?

They made everyone family so every doujin will be incest doujin. I like this turn of events.

There is a Hole in this all. Well they both are Sisters. But what is Bell’s Brother?
