Railgun #26 — Back to the Grind

April 19th, 2013

Yep. That confirms that.

Impressions:

That’s more like it. A fully ironic statement after an episode that was practically a shot for shot remake of a previous one, I’m aware. Bookend the episode by pretending something’s going on with minimal effort put into the animation (this one would be my favorite given how absolutely nothing is happening there), fill the rest of the time with a fat lot of absolutely nothing, pretend like something’s going to happen next week. Oh? Is Saten being ‘cute’? Kuroko has a ‘voice collection?’ Well let me just piss myself and throw money in your direction. They couldn’t even get the new character’s intro done right without tossing in some bad visual humor while the gamelan was blasting away at full tilt. Nor did I ever feel particularly awed by her power of diarrhea of the mouth and the ability to operate a light switch.

And then Aroduc felt perfectly fine about Samurai Girls for Fridays again. The end.

Next Episode:

More of the exact same.

It’s okay, Kuroko still loves you.

    Well, probably not.

  • elior1 says:

well looks like the plot with misaka clones begin enxt week

    • Benigmatica says:

And Aroduc won’t be covering the next episode after this!

      • Aroduc says:

Maybe it can go on the ever-rare video coverage, but that’d involve something worth seeing happening, like robot space sharks or the random wanton slaughter of everyone in the area.

        So yeah, that’s not happening.

      • rubix says:

Is Aroduc familiar with the Raildex universe? I vaguely remember him being disappointed when Season 1 of Railgun didn’t go into the Sister’s Arc…

Which then makes me think that he read and enjoyed the Sister’s Arc in the manga…

  • elior1 says:

misaka clone:you too harsh on railgun answer misaaka as she make sad look

  • Longhaul says:

that was a surprisingly faithful adaption, seems like its going at 1 chapter an episode

  • Catz says:

    This show gave me cancer.

  • algorithm says:

No luck for Mikasa. No luck for Misaka either.

  • elior1 says:

if each episode will be 1 chapter it will take time before we will get to the meat of the sisters arc. and the next episode will only give us more info about the plot nothing special
