Karneval #03 — Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah

Remember when people in this show threw grenades?

I’m not sure what happened to my Yuyushiki post yesterday. I swear I posted it, but apparently it never even saved, let alone got published. I didn’t even notice until I plopped down this one’s template. Oh well, the episode alternatively irritated and bored me anyway and I have almost no memory of what I wrote at this point. Life goes on.

Impressions:

Boy, could I not care less about Nai, waves of waves of waves of talking heads wondering about him, or Gareki’s daydreams that he’s some kind of filthy magical girl mascot animal. Especially not macguffin-boy bawling. Shouldn’t these morons be out hunting monsters? Or were they all scared away last episode when someone dropped a medium sized rock in their general direction? I don’t particularly care about Gareki’s constant angsty flashbacks either. How about we have some characters actually do something? He used to have a lot of grenades. Let’s blow some crap up. Maybe the giant black tentacle attacking you instead of staring at it like a deer in headlights. It can’t be worse than not blowing anything up. Ugh.

Blowing things up is always preferable to not blowing things up, particularly in action shows.
