Vividred Operation #05 — The Attack of Gun-Haver

February 7th, 2013

The deadliest of all antagonist powers.

Impressions:

Oh hey. It’s been a long time since WordPress ate a post. Luckily, it was a very boring episode where I spent most of a paragraph making fun of this state of the art critically vital to everyone facility being nearly taken down by a single little girl terrorist using mostly small arms that she found on site. God help them all if the enemy had enough resources to supply their own guns or send two teenage girls. There was also some pondering over why Rei’s Lesbian Black’s feather bow made a metallic clattering when dropped on grass as well as speculation as to what the monster of the week that they fought just off-screen was. It looks like the designer took the week off to do blow a box.

Anyway, a very cliche, very dull introductory episode to Rei, the non-antagonist du jour who has overcommitted to her bird lust. She hangs out with seagulls, talks to her parakeet, and takes orders from a physically abusive mother-figure crow. But hey, she selflessly rescues small children from conveniently falling girders, so we all know that she’ll join the good guys, right? A conclusion that I believe most of the audience reached about a month before the first episode aired, so why not drag it out with strange flashbacks and a touch of orithophilia instead of anything happening?

Preview:

And now for a completely different show.
