Problem Children #04 — My Big Fat Greek Something or Other

February 1st, 2013

Nobody ever expects the Greek phalanx.

Impressions:

Yet another tremendously unexciting episode. This show needs to either pick up the pace badly or flex some animation muscles again, because the constant infodumping is sure as hell not cutting it. The vampire gets her spew of infodumping, an abortive lance-punch, and then is immediately relegated to damsel in distress for a Greek-based faction lead by a wannabe frat boy/date rapist who is 0 for 2 against the protagonists thus far. To be concluded next week. What’s really impressive about this episode are all the places they could have done something entertaining but instead decided to have it instead happen offscreen or just cut it off before anything actually happened. Would it really have hurt them to actually show a little bit of any of Izayoi’s little fights besides giant disco light effects, or let Bunny kick some Spartans around before reining her in? I can only imagine that they couldn’t find any way to cut away from Izayoi punching a lance head on so they tried to make that as uninteresting as possible too. Huzzah.

  • Raxnom says:

It had a little bit of bunny abuse! Wasn’t it enough? Or is it never enough?

  • elior1 says:

i think they save izayoi powers for later episodes becouse of the unouwn gift card

  • Di Gi Kazune says:

    FOR SPAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAA!

  • Goldi says:

Izayoi was clearly popping a boner when bunny activated her powers.

  • tom says:

The directors clearly know nothing about pacing. First, just when black rabbit is going to get into some action, the blond head pull the plug. Then when it should be all serious and tense when they confront the villain, they went on for some lamb joke. That cheapens everything.

  • Flood says:

I’m fairly suspicious of people that don’t ever use the bathroom.
