Time is not doing this series any favors.
Well, the show’s seen worse days, like the great swathes of season two centering around the angsty kid that was written in and abruptly written out again. This episode will not not be going down as too much better than that though. Extremely dull episode, even by its own standards. They’re sticking to the 4 segment format, but only maybe the last one was decent. Even that’s stretching it though. Far too much Kana doing absolutely nothing interesting at all. I know it’s been four seasons, but let’s put a little effort in, okay?
Production continues to worsen as it travels through studios too. It even began with a CG trip to their door. Why? Apparently drawing the front of an apartment is just too much work. Feel’s other main addition is a copious number of generic head shots against truly ugly splash backgrounds. Hell, I think I could do that using images from previous seasons and 30 seconds in Photoshop and preset templates. There’s also the occasional atrocious zoom-out transition that makes me wonder if the director simply didn’t get a trial copy of Windows Movie Maker and thought it was cool. What next, Barn Door Open? It also continues this season’s trend of overly loud BGM. Take it down a notch, Japan.
So much for Hosaka.
