FYI, Das Other Melodrama’s broadcast is a little delayed today.

Impressions:

Good god. They really can’t ever give the melodrama a rest, can they? Even when a quarter of the episode is about putting on a little show about essentially watching a PV, they still manage to turn it into not only "Oh god, my life is a failure what am I doing I am hopeless teenage existential aaaaaaangst, but thank God for all my friends standing around cheering for me… quite literally this time," and then stack on even goddamned more than that. Because why not toss up the claim that a central character is leaving the show halfway through it. I mean, hell, it was thrown up with 5 whole minutes left in the episode, but that didn’t stop the sad pianos from stampeding and the meaningful hugs from hugging.

It’s off next week, thank god. After that, like Ixion, don’t count on me sticking with this one. I bet I’ll be able to really sink my teeth into Manglobe’s impending disaster and shake. Active spite trumps passive boredom and scorn any day.
