Ixion Saga DT #05 — A Woman’s Heart

Why is he popular with both males and females exactly…?

Impressions:

More comedy, less drama. Please. This was mainly concerned with Marian’s non-past, told through… you guessed it, flashbacks. Why have active character development when you can make some random stuff up out of nowhere and say it already happened! Truly the pinnacle of storytelling. I will never understand Japan’s obsession with flashbacks and am not sure that I want to. Like motion capture video games in the 90s, I just want it to pass and never rear its ugly head ever again. And of course, they’re always some excessively tragic and nonsensically melodramatic event. They could at least overplay it far enough to make it a joke, not have people look off sadly over the ocean with such pithy lines like "…I never knew." I still have fond memories of the Galaxy Angel soap opera parody where half the cast was revealed to be the secret fathers of the other half of the cast and/or murdered each other. Now that is how you do melodrama.

Oh, they also went to a beach and Doofus got pinned down and woke up next to a five o’clock shadow. Probably the only action he’s going to get.

    Yes.

Now see kids, these two need to hook up. Pronto. That would make this show infinity more watchable. If we’re going to burn our retinas out watching this over saturated cliche ridden scream fest of crushed gonads, we might as well take the road less traveled.

The only trap I like is BokuTomo’s Yukimura for obvious reasons.
