Impressions:

I don’t claim to be an expert on the mind of the Japanese teenage male, but somehow, I’m not sure that having their giant robots dance around like idols to bad pop music is how to appeal to them. And even if it is, then what? They are supposed to buy the toys to act out dance numbers? What is your plan, Bandai? What evil lurks in your heart?

Anyway, zero other surprises here. It’s just as childish, corny, and CGriffic as it looks on the cover with characters who look like they were attacked by a strip mall on the way to class. I was trying to figure out what possible use there could be for what appears to be not one, not two, but three scopes on the comm headsets, but I suspect that only leads to madness. It probably has the same use as his cheek-protecting headphone.

    Like I said, it was an arcade game.

    A racing arcade game that suddenly turned into giant robot battles.

    …actually, I wouldn’t mind playing it.

    somehow, I want to buy the arcade cabinet and ‘magically’ hook it up to my PSX so I can play speed power gunbike and finally complete the bugger after all these years. Oh and this anime sucked.
