I preferred Super Sexy Commander personally.
Back to the relative mediocrity that plagued the first season. The episode was fairly ADD in content. There were about five minutes of Super Sexy Commander procrastinating, then it was on to Old Maid for a minute or two before they got distracted by nicknames. The second half was five minutes of Sakurako’s snake before schticking about colds. So… It was not the most exciting that the show’s ever been, but as long as the glasses creatures are kept to under 30 seconds of screentime per episode, it’s far from the worst that it’s ever been either. Yui’s just never been particularly entertaining and Chinatsu’s only amusing when she’s jamming her tongue down throats or in full-on stalker mode. Kyouko’s kind of humor really needs something to work off of. Red works sometimes, but Yui and Chinatsu are poor conversational partners.
Sakurako’s snake was probably the best segment, even if it did include the glasses things. It’s a miracle or a grievous directorial oversight that it somehow never got wrapped around Himawari’s breasts. Perhaps that’d be too Freudian, but then I remember that this comes from Japan and there’s no such thing. Even that wasn’t much better from decidedly mediocre though. The nickname stuff had a couple moments, but again, Kyouko can only carry those segments on her own for so long and it was far from one of her better random rants/asides.
If you’re reading this, it means that I forgot to change the template.
