Well, at least Kyouko reappeared.

Impressions:

Sigh. At least I knew to keep my expectations very very low for this season. We’ve successfully moved up from recycling the first season to generic filler. "Let’s go to the mountains. Why? We need to fill an episode. Here’s a bear." Nothing more exciting than watching Mael fumble about how to talk to Ayumu with the melodramatic violins wailing before Haruna conveniently butts in with a swarm of bees in tow and the awful ‘comic’ theme kicks in. What a useful way to spend out time. Of course ending with him conveniently tripping and pulling someone’s pants down then getting smacked. And then the Mael insert song kicked in. Fabulous. I am so moved by… uh… the power of friendship brought on by… uh… a minute or two of Mael being insecure about Ayumu?

The high point otherwise was probably Saras’s sexual harassment, although she could definitely step up her game a bit… or just kick out one of the main females or two. At least her jokes are new(er). About the only thing of note this week is that Shrimpy brought Kyouko back into it at the very end. She was easily the strongest part of the first season. I can’t wait to find out how they’re going to ruin her, although if they do even a tenth of what the OP shows in terms of her cutting loose again, I’ll consider that a win for the season. No, my expectations are not high.
