Are the boys grenades?

Impressions:

Way to really outdo yourself, Upotte. You made me long for the repeated clumsy sex jokes of the first episode. Congratu-bloody-lations. Aside from a few panty shots, the T&A and sex stuff was pretty much all gone from this episode. In its place was a whole lot nothing. They cheated on some exercise so had to go through a little mock fight against the upper classmen plus a couple of the sniper-types randomly decided to join in for poops and giggles. Or more likely because they realized the episode would probably be five minutes short without that.

I guess at least it wasn’t aggressively boring. If the animation, jokes, or edutainment segments weren’t… well… lame, then it could’ve been a decent episode. If only though. The entire middle 10 minutes or so was just bland as hell. It certainly wasn’t funny. It wasn’t particularly exciting although the music was trying its best to do what the visuals and edutainment cutaways were getting in the way of. I’m not sure what it was. Maybe that’s a sign to just give up Saturdays for this season and cover Korra and/or YJ instead.
