Train Opera Milky Holmes #18 — Mystery Train

February 9th, 2012

How didn’t the Tamura Yukari character end up with the knockoff Raising Heart?

Impressions:

Come on. Commit to your parodies. If you’re going to have an outright Golgo, you may as well go the full nine yards with the facehugger too and have Ripley or at least Carter being the one carting it around. The montage with this season’s terrible OP also made me groan a little bit, especially since most of the jokes about them being completely oblivious to Golgo’s… Golgoness… came during it. Why would you include a Golgo and then reduce him to a montage? So much more could’ve been done with that. Why wasn’t Hercule the one to find him having sex for starters?

Anyway, terrorist on a train, everybody’s suspicious, accuse them all in turn, the conductor was a crazy Kokoro fan all along. The biggest mystery that Kokoro couldn’t figure out was her black eye, which came from a Rube Goldbergsque series. It was a step up from most of the episodes this season at least, although didn’t have any particularly memorable moments. At least they did focus down a little bit better this time around since I did mention that a week or two ago. I’ll never be happy about Arsene and Twenty being out of the show, but at least I didn’t really notice until Arsene popped up in the closing seconds.

A episode where they actually stay in one place? God save the train.

  • Di Gi Kazune says:

She should have just used Excellion Buster.
