Highschool DxD #06 — Curiously Placed Steam
February 9th, 2012
"Quick, kill time until the show’s almost over!"
Ha. Forgot to actually hit post. Oopsies.
Impressions:
Yep. Back to a whole lot of nothing. Asia moves in with Stupid. Stupid trains. Stupid monologues about how he’s going to protect her. Rias staring distractedly whenever anybody says "bride." Yawn. Your beefcake ‘magical girl’ isn’t funny either. Even Zombiessu did it better, to say nothing of Lyrical Manoha wandering around in Inukami. The biggest mystery of this episode is why they felt the need to cover up Asia’s butt when she was in the shower at the start. Did we just think to oursleves, "There’s steam, it has to cover up something"? Use it to cover up Issei next time. Preferably through the entire episode.
And that was about the first 15 minutes of the show. They spent the last 6 or so minutes running errands for a swarm of drillhairs that had infested some armor. Reality be damned, that’s how I’m choosing to remember this. They didn’t even actually do anything or learn anything from the experience anyway, except perhaps if he hadn’t spent the entire time monologuing to himself, he could’ve felt up Rias. This entire episode could’ve (and probably should’ve) been replaced by the girls just spinning around on their stripper pole without any loss of information or development.
