Kill Me Baby #02 — Bears and Bees
January 12th, 2012
Needs a whole lot more bears.
Impressions:
Can’t say this was all that funny either. It was pretty much like the first episode, only even less Agiri. And of course, she was only in the middle two segments, so I drifted into a haze at the start and by the time her presence jolted me out of it, she was gone again for a fairly dull ending. She was the only one I found consistently funny so… meh. I think I got the biggest chuckle out of the cop cluelessly singing as he passed by Sonya trying to grab a knife out of Random Kid’s hand.
It remains a whole lot of blank space. A little background music or the like definitely wouldn’t do this show any harm. Well, probably. JC Staff probably still has leftover music from Merry sitting around somewhere just… waiting… to be inflicted upon some new show. It has a decent energy level for slapstick, but there’s absolutely nothing supporting the characters or the jokes. I’m not sure if I’ll cover this too much longer given how busy Thursdays already are unless it improves a bit more in the next week or two.

Was pretty bored with episode 1, your review doesn’t have me thinking I’ll watch this one.
I thought the music from Merry was actually really good (as in well written)…just, not where they used it. If they dug it up to use again though, inflicted would probably end up the right word choice again though.
